Once again working with artist Hayden Dunham, Rosetta Getty created an installation as a backdrop and expression of her fall 2025 collection. Developing into an ongoing creative dialogue, this season’s installation reflected their mutual appreciation for pushing boundaries — ultimately indicating Rosetta’s personal approach to adaptable, evolving design. “It’s all of these things that start from one thing and end up another thing,” Getty said during a preview from her downtown New York showroom.
Textiles are really where the designer sings. “I have a love-hate relationship with textiles,” she said with a laugh. Duchess satin on cocoon shaped separates, plongé leather suits, double-face cashmere coats, a long sequin dress with a soft inner lining, mercerized cotton paired with silk on a mixed media slipdress were intriguing ideas.
Getty was lightly inspired by the “polished fashion” of the 1950s and 1960s, and the season’s tailoring took on new forms with a cut sharply to nip the waist, a cropped button-front jacket was finished with custom rounded rim logo buttons, a button halter top was a waistcoat. Knits were cozy but sublime in a mix of gauges and cashmere blends. An outerwear stand out: her tailored maxi coat — a classic Getty silhouette — reimagined in scuba double knit for ease of wear. Throughout the collection she crafted pieces that elevated to a luxurious tactile place, standing out in the market but in a subtle way.
